Enfield Little League president David Rancourt presents the 2013 Hometown Hero Award to Linda K. Bridge, Executvie Director of the Enfield Food Shelf, for all her years of hard work and dedication to the children of Enfield. The award was presented at the opening day ceremony on April 27 at the Mark Twain Fields.

1-" Enfield Food Shelf Winning Walkers" raised over $1500 dollars and completed the 2.5 mile walk around Bushnell Park. Ernie Pitti, Foodshare representative, was the team captain and organizer.  Teams members were (l. to r): Robert, Jackie, Cathy, Bill, Linda B., Paul, Becky,, Tia, Kathleen, Linda. Reenie, Lacey, and Becca.

CHR Second Wind Clubhouse 2013 Community Support Award

Michele Fontaine - Program Director and Catherine Kriss - Leadership Committee present the 8th Annual Recovery Community Support  Award to Linda Bridge at the banquet held at Grassmere Country Club on May 17th.  The plaque reads: "In recognition of your outstanding commitment to provide food resources to individuals in Enfield so that no one will go hungry due to lack of resources. Your continued dedication and successful efforts to serve best exemplify our community vision of compassion, pioneering spirit and hope."

1- Sue Isher supervised the "food collection canoe" in the Powder Hollow Barn.   360 pounds of food was donated.

2- Mike Dynia, organizer of the Spring Splash, presents a $1000 event donation to Linda Bridge.

The contribution will become a part of the 16th Annual Feinstein Challenge.

"Rachel's Challenge" -  Linda Bridge, Executive Director, accepts a $1815 donation from Marilyn Cresotti, representative for the Enfield Public School's "Rachel's Challenge."  Enfield high school and junior high school students completed various acts of kindness and projects to raise the funds.

Tanguay-McGill American Legion Post #80- Ray Almodar, a Legion member and Food Shelf volunteer, gives a $500 donation to Linda Bridge, Executive Director.

Kyle's 16th Birthday - Jared and Rebecca Kalagher deliver 203 pounds of donations received at son Kyle's 16th birthday party.


... The Blair Manor Family Gives Back ...

Blair Manor's  resident's, family, and staff, are proud to be part of the Enfield community and decided to raise money for those in need this holiday season. Blair Manor's goal was to raise $1,000.00 for the Enfield food Shelf.  Through bake sales, and luncheons, that goal was attained.  Residents presented Linda Bridge - Executive Director from the Enfield Food Shelf a check for $1,000.   "We all need help sometimes," stated Marion Erickson, "Happy we can help people in our community," stated Jim Simons. Jennie Gogulski added, "I hate to think anyone goes to bed hungry!"
