As Executive Director of Enfield Food Shelf, I am very excited to announce the launch of our new website. Many thanks to Tim LeBlanc of webthisway.com, Disney/ABC/ESPN cybergrants and our Enfield Food Shelf technology committee members, Ann Yeager, Ken Hilinski and Ernie Pitti, who have worked many hours planning and developing our new website.
This website gives Enfield Food Shelf a new level of flexibility and mobile connectivity our old site could not offer. I hope this new website will be an interactive way for volunteers, donors and those in need of food assistance to learn about Enfield Food Shelf and its community-wide efforts to combat hunger and build awareness of hunger-related issues through community engagement and community activities. We all need to be aware that hunger disrupts a child’s ability to learn, an adult’s ability to be productive and a senior’s ability stay healthy and vital. Hunger silently touches every neighborhood, every race and every age group in our Enfield community. Only by honestly starting and continuing the conversation about hunger’s short and long-term impact on our community and its members will we make progress toward reducing hunger in Enfield. I hope you visit our Programs page to learn more about these efforts. Thank you for visiting our new page and for the strong support we receive here at the Enfield Food Shelf!! Visit often and remember to “Start the Conversation About Hunger.”
